Reservoir Watch, offizieller Uhrenhersteller von IDEC Sport während der ELMS, wird bei den 24 Stunden von Le Mans 2022 die Handgelenke der LMP2-Fahrer mit der Startnummer 48 schmücken.

RESERVOIR, OFFICIAL WATCHMAKER IDEC SPORT PARTICIPATES IN THE 2022 24 HOURS OF LE MANS

Following on from the 2022 European Le Mans Series, RESERVOIR and IDEC SPORT will once again team up for the Le Mans 24 Hours. For this edition of Le Mans 2022, IDEC SPORT will inaugurate a new race car with a design that honours the RESERVOIR brand, whose logo, reminding the jerrycan, will appear on the car. The slender and sporty lines of this new car recall the design of the iconic RESERVOIR GT-Tour collection, mostly of the GT-Tour Carbon Idec Sport 2021, an edition launched in partnership with IDEC SPORT last year in a limited series of 24 pieces. These 24 watches were in the cockpit of the IDEC car during the previous edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This year, RESERVOIR will offer for sale three watches from the GT-Tour collection, worn by the drivers of the IDEC SPORT team throughout the 24-hour race. Those who wish to acquire a unique model that has covered each of the 13,626 kilometers of the race on the wrists of the three French IDEC drivers – Paul Lafargue, Paul Loup Chatin and Patrick Pilet – will be given the watch in its case, which will be sold together with a miniature of the new IDEC race car. The GT-Tour’s dial, with its unique single hand, is inspired by the counters and speed instruments found on automobile dashboards. A characteristic specific to RESERVOIR that has won over a whole community of motor sports enthusiasts.

THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS : AN HISTORIC AUTOMOBILE EVENT SINCE 1923

No need to introduce it, the 24 hours of Le Mans race is known by everyone. Since 1923, the event, which welcomes thousands of participants each year, has had an international impact and attracts a host of personalities. This year, the city of Le Mans will celebrate for the 90th time, motorsport, speed and endurance through the usual 24 hours of festivities. After a 2021 edition limited by the consequences of the Covid-19, this 2022 edition promises a great return with even more animations and surprises to punctuate the event.

The race will start on Saturday 11th of June at 4pm after the teams have completed free practice on Wednesday 8th and qualifying on Thursday 9th, with a 30-minute Hyperpole session to determine the top 6 cars in each category for the race start. Once all the tests and technical checks carried out and the race has finally started, the 62 cars will take to the track and the 186 drivers will take it in turns to race for 24 hours on the legendary circuit of Le Mans, which covers exactly 13,626 kilometres. Boldness, a taste for performance and overtaking will be the order of the day, with the teams even more motivated and determined to win.
