ELMS 2022: RESERVOIR accompanies IDEC SPORT on the SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS circuit this Sunday, September 25 th
The 2022 European Le Mans Series season continues this month with the fifth and second-last race of the ELMS at SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS in the province of Liege, in Belgium. Testing and qualifying will take place this Friday, September 23rd, and the race will start on Sunday, September 25th at 11.30am.
The 118 drivers and 41 race cars will compete for victory in one of the following three car categories: LMP2, LMP3, LMGTE. As an official partner, RESERVOIR will have the honor once again to support the IDEC SPORT team, represented by its three French drivers: Paul Loup Chatin, Paul Lafargue and Patrick Pilet. IDEC SPORT had achieved excellent performances during the two previous races in Monza and Barcelona on July 3rd and August 28th 2022, at the end of which the team finished 3rd and 4th place respectively in its category (LMP2). The SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS race is a new test to overcome and the opportunity for IDEC SPORT to win its second podium of the season.
The circuit has benefited numerous modifications and major works to accommodate this year’s new track with 20 bends, some of which have been enlarged to facilitate the passage of the cars. The drivers will have to work together during the 4 hours of the race to cover the 7,004 meters of the circuit and finish in the lead of their respective categories. The difficulty of SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS is not the least as it is the longest track of the European Le Mans Series with the most important height difference. The drivers will have to put their driving skills through a very high level of driving and redouble their efforts this September 25th.
RESERVOIR x IDEC SPORT : A Long-Term Partnership
RESERVOIR is proud to be able to participate once again in the ELMS races alongside IDEC SPORT and its 3 drivers. The spirit of performance and overtaking which reigns during this competition are also values dear and shared by the brand.
To honor its partnership with IDEC, RESERVOIR has developed in 2020 and 2021 two limited edition 24-piece watches – the IDEC SPORT GT-Tour carbon edition 2021 and the IDEC SPORT GT-Tour Skeleton edition 2020 – with the IDEC logo on the dial. Each of these watches was carried in the IDEC SPORT car during the Le Mans 24-hour race the same years.
