The European Le Mans Series season continues this month with the IMOLA race which will take place on Sunday 15th May. This is the first time in 7 years that the ELMS has returned to the unmissable IMOLA circuit, which is one of the few major international circuits to run counter-clockwise. Located 40km east of Bologna in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, IMOLA will host the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari for this second endurance race.
The 125 drivers and 42 race cars will compete for victory in one of the following three car categories : LMP2, LMP3, LMGTE. As an official partner, RESERVOIR will have the honour to support once again the IDEC SPORT team, represented by its 3 French drivers: Paul Loup Chatin, Paul Lafargue and Patrick Pilet.
During the first race in Le Castellet on the last 17th of April, IDEC SPORT had already proved itself by finishing in 4th position ahead of the 38 other teams. An excellent performance which gives hope for a favourable continuation!
But the difficulty of the IMOLA circuit is not the least and the drivers will have to redouble their efforts to try to obtain the pole position. The Autodromo Enzo & Dino Ferrari is known to be a very technical and difficult track to interpret, with complex corners, requiring a high level of driving skills.
In total, the drivers will have to tackle 4,900 meters of circuit punctuated by 21 bends.
RESERVOIR x IDEC SPORT: A SOLID AND COHERENT PARTNERSHIP
RESERVOIR is taking up the challenge alongside the IDEC SPORT team, whose values it shares. The spirit of performance and overtaking which reigns during this competition are also values dear and shared by the brand.
To honour its partnership with IDEC, RESERVOIR has developed in 2020 and 2021 two limited edition 24-piece watches with the IDEC logo on the dial. Each of these watches was carried in the IDEC SPORT car during the Le Mans 24-hour race the same year.
